While interning at 42 as a Communications Assistant, I took on several responsibilities. One major responsibility was creating a social media calendar and graphics for its posts. 

As an international coding school, 42 enjoys commemorating landmarks in tech history. We also ran several social media campaigns and series to build inter-campus community, and crack a few programmer jokes here and there.

On top of learning some cool tech facts, I further developed my skills in graphic design. Each post was a new opportunity to conceptualize fun ways to present each special day or school event. 

Some graphics were more challenging than others. The most challenging, and my favorite, was the Halloween Inter-Campus Costume Competitions. I designed the main graphic showing the bracket that eventually encompassed the 20 participating campuses. The whole campaign led to a huge boost in engagement and impressions.

42’s following and reach were the largest I had ever helped manage. The experience taught me creativity, persistence, and confidence. It made me a better professional. More than any other professional experience, this one prepared me for the next step in my career.
